Profile

Ceramic Artist
Mari Yoshimura
Working with the traditional technique of akae saibyō (fine overglaze enamel painting), the artist layers delicate lines and vibrant colors across ceramic surfaces, creating works that move fluidly between ceramics and painting.
Through the accumulation of intricate imagery, each vessel unfolds an additional sense of space and rhythm upon its form, reimagining the ceramic object as a visual and immersive experience.

Completed the residency program at the Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo (Kanazawa Utatsuyama Craft Workshop) in 2015.
Currently serves as a Part-time Lecturer at Kobe Design University.
